Former Kenya international Kevin Kimani lasted the full minutes in his first clash for IR Tanger as the side edged Raja Boughaz 3-0 in a friendly encounter on Wednesday 11 January.
The former Tusker midfielder has been away in North Africa for trials with the Tanger based club and was among the starter for in the convincing win.
Kimani joined Cosmos in April 2016 on a one- year contract before the move fell through without the former Mathare and Tusker ace making any competitive appearance for Jomo Sono led side. he has since ventured out to try his fortunes in the professional ranks, this time northwards with the Moroccan outfit.
Ittihad Riadhi, Tanger, abbreviated as IR tanger is a club based in the town of Tanger and currently sits third in the league. It hosts its game in Stade IBN Batouta.
The club marked its return to Morocco first division (Botola) in the 2015–16 season after enduring a 8 year wait in the second division of the league. Their best run in the league dates back to1989 -90 where they fell just short of the league title finishing runners up to Wydad Casablanca.
