Mathare confident of landing worthy replacement for Mboya

Mathare United Chief Executive Officer Jackton Obure is confident that the club will find a better keeper to replace Robert Mboya before the transfer window closes.

Mboya who has been with the Slum Boys senior side since 2014 chose not to extend his stay at the club and joined newly promoted Kariobangi Sharks.

Search for new keeper

Obure revealed that the side has embarked on the journey to get a new keeper and he believes they will acquire one soon.

-We have not yet gotten his replacement, but his departure is not a surprise to our technical bench. We have been searching for a good young goalkeeper and there’s no doubt we will find one before the transfer window closes, he told KPL.

Jerico Allstars keeper Gilbert Ogwade who was recenty named the MVP in the Koth Biro tournament has expressed desire to play for the side.
