Former Nairobi City Stars, Bandari and Shabana FC striker Bruno Sserenkuma is a target for National Super League side, Vihiga United, the club has confirmed.
The Edward Manoah coached Vihiga is bolstering its playing unit ahead of the new season and has earmarked the Ugandan attacker as one of its prime targets.
-Sserenkuma is a player we are interested in but the technical bench wants to evaluate him first. He will train with us for about a week so that the coaches can watch him more closely. We are targeting a few other experienced players who will be key in our promotion push this year, club Public Relations Officer Peter Atsiaya told Futaa.com.
Other players on Vihiga United's radar is veteran striker Dennis Onkangi and Zoo FC attacking midfielder Mike Madoya.
The club has so far lost two key players to other teams, speedy winger Michael Isabwa has decamped to newly promoted Kenyan Premier League side Kariobangi Sharks while first choice keeper David Kutwa has joined NSL side KCB. The club also let go of 11 other players as it continues restructuring ahead of the 2017 season.
