Tusker FC CEO Charles Obiny has confirmed that keeper Martin Musalia is set to leave the club after requesting for termination of his contract.
Musalia has been Tusker’s third choice keeper since joining the Brewers in June 2015 from AFC Leopards and after two seasons in Ruaraka where he featured in a handful of matches, the former Mathare United shot-stopper has decided to call it quits.
-Martin Musalia is leaving, he requested for termination of his contract and we are going to grant him his wish. We have not released him just yet because there is procedure to be followed but I can confirm he is on his way out, once we clear with him he will be free to join any other side, Obiny told Futaa.com.
At the same time, Obiny confirmed young custodian Bryne Omondi who was loaned out to AgroChemicals last season has returned to the club and will fill the void left by Musalia.
-Omondi has returned to the club, he is a good young keeper who will benefit from training with the two experienced keepers we have (David Okello and Duncan Ochieng). We have to groom a young keeper so that in the event we lose one of the older keepers we will have a worthy replacement, Obiny added.
Musalia follows Osborne Monday out of the club this window, the veteran midfielder has ditched Tusker for newly promoted Kariobangi Sharks.
